Because the what of school improvement is well established, the focus of the partnership's School Improvement work is to support schools on how to improve.

Teaching & Learning Connection Training and Support

The Teaching and Learning Connection task force is busily working on the roll out for this year. This summer, people are receiving initial and certification trainings in Data Driven Decision Making, Data Teams, and Making Standards Work. Please watch this site and your email (if you're on the ILC Listserv) for information on upcoming trainings, plans for the roll out, and supporting documents.

Writing Institute: Content and Agenda

Angela Perry will be presenting the Effective Teaching Strategies certification training October 22-24 and the Writing Certifiction Training October 25, 26, & 29 for NWRESD this fall. See attached PDF--the content for this training will be the same.

The purpose of school improvement is to better the quality of teaching and learning in schools so that greater numbers of students reach their potential. For schools to continuously improve, it is imperative that improvement move beyond an event and become an integral part of how a school operates.
